How to Find and Open Objects
Finding Objects with the Find By Name Tool
Type the name (or partial name) of an object you want to find in the search box located at the top toolbar. And click the search icon or press Enter. Search results will be listed in the Find pane. You can filter the search results by selecting an object type from the list. To open a found object, double-click its name in the list.
Finding Objects Following Connections
You can efficiently use another way of finding necessary objects. Vine objects are linked to each other, thus forming a sequence that can be followed by consecutive double-clicking on the connected objects. For instance: from the event’s window you can open the participant’s window, from which, in its turn, you can open the participant’s company, then go to another person working in that company, and so on.
How to Create Objects
To create a new object, hover the mouse pointer over in the vertical Toolbar on the left and select the needed object type:
The dialog box for entering data about a new object will appear:
Fields with yellow background which have their names in red are mandatory to be filled in.
Name your object, enter other appropriate data and click Save or Next if the edit form has several pages.

Please always remember that you work with data possibly used by a lot of people. That is why you must be especially careful when deleting any data. If you have accidentally deleted a valuable piece of data promptly ask your Vine administrator to restore it.

How to Unlink Objects
The object shown in the view area has all connected objects listed in its panes. If you want to unlink some object, you can right-click it and select Delete Connection(s) from the shortcut menu. This operation does not delete the object itself, only the connection between two objects will be deleted.
How to Categorize Objects
Having created many various objects you might want to classify them for better structuring and management. To do this you should use folders. A folder is a named group of objects that consists of only one object type.
