Object Overview
Sales Accounts are versatile objects that you can use to group sales activities according to your own ideas. You can analyze sales accounts using tools present on the standard Sales tab of Vine.
Here are a few examples of what sales accounts can be used for:
Grouping Sales by Customer
A sales account can represent a key customer. That is, a sales account can be assigned to all sales done to a specific customer:
Grouping Sales by Sales/Product Type
A sales account can represent sales of a specific product to various buyers:
Grouping Sales by Type for Multinational Companies
A sales account can be used to group sales by types to all divisions of a multinational company.
In the following diagram, you can see sales accounts used to group and analyse combined results of same type sales done to geographically different divisions of the same customer.
For example, “Nielsen Group-Service” is a sales account representing combined results of service contracts with all subdivisions of the Nielsen Group:
