How to Authorize Domain and Configure its DNS Settings

Here is how to configure the domain settings:

Part I. Use Vine MA:

1. Go to Settings->Email Domains

2. Click Authorize next to the domain you want to configure in order to open the DNS configuration side panel:

3. Click Continue.
4. On the 2. Branded domains step you need to enter subdomains to be used for branded bounce address and for branded links in emails:


Enter the desired names of subdomains (or leave the default ones) and click Continue.

5. On the 3. Information for domain DNS configuration step, please select I do DNS settings myself if you want to add the required DNS records yourself.

Next you will need to create the DNS records suggested by Vine MA using the DNS management system of your DNS-Registrar (domain provider). For your convenience, Vine usually can detect your DNS-Registrar and provide a link to it at the bottom of the pane.
You will need to copy piece by piece the following DNS records using the copy command.

Part II. Use DNS Management Console of your DNS Hosting Provider

Open the DNS console of your DNS provider in a separate browser window or tab to create the required DNS records.

Setting SPF Record in GoDaddy

1. Copy the required SPF record to the clipboard in the Vine authorization panel.
2. Please go to the DNS Management console and click Add:

3. Select TXT from the Type list.
4. Enter @ in the Name field.
5. Paste the clipboard content in the Value field (The following text string should appear in the field - "v=spf1 include:spf.protection.vine.eu ~all" ).
6. Leave Default in the TTL field.

7. Click Add record. The following record should be added:

You need to copy CNAME DNS records from the 3. Information for domain DNS configuration step above for DKIM, Branded Bounce Address and Branded Links.

For example, you can copy the DKIM record as follows:

1. Please go to the DNS Management console and click Add:

2. Select CNAME from the Type list.
3. Paste the copied left part of the DKIM record in the Name field.
4. Go to Vine MA, copy there the right side of the DKIM record and then paste it in the Value field.
5. Leave Default in the TTL field.

6. Click Add record. A record similar to the following should be added:

Verifying DNS Settings

Please go to the 4.Wait and test step and click Test Domain. You should see the green marks next to all the settings.
